The Presenters Gailyn and Becky Van Rheenen served as missionaries in East Africa for 14 years(1972-1986), taught missions and evangelism and mentored missionaries at Abilene Christian University for 17 years (1986-2003), and currently work with Mission Alive, a ministry to equip church planting leaders to plant reproducing churches in North America. |

The Seminar The purpose of the seminar is to equip local churches
for becoming missionary fellowships. We focus first of all on Christian
spirituality and biblical foundations that lead a church to become
missionary. Then we speak about the transition that must take place.
Finally, we give some strategies for accomplishing the task.
